This prenatal session includes modifications to keep Pilates suitable for pregnancy. This workout is great for Trimesters 1 and 2, and if you are feeling fine throughout, Trimester 3. If you do experience aches or pains, please contact us or your Physio for further modifications.
To participate in this Pilates session, you must have your Doctor's or LMC's ok to exercise, and have a normal and non-complicated pregnancy.
In Prenatal 1, you'll move your body with mobility exercies to keep your spine feeling good, and strengthen your upper body, arms and shoulders, and lower body and trunk.
We follow the New Zealand Obstetric guidelines for exercise during pregnancy. For a list of these, and also information on exercising during your Pregnancy refer to our brochure.
